IB Visual Arts trip to Paris

10 February 2025

Visual Arts students had the opportunity to visit Paris for a three day Art trip. Among others, they visited and studied the permanent collections of major museums such as the Pompidou, Orsay, and Du Quai Branly. They also visited Art and Fashion Design exhibitions such as James Turrell at Gagosian, Chiharu Siota at the Grand Palais, ‘Pop Forever’ at the Louis Vuitton Foundation, ‘Trompe L’Oeil’ at the Marmotten Monet museum, Stephen Jones at Paris Galliera, ‘Private Lives’ at the Musée Des Arts Décoratifs and Contemporary Art in major art galleries at Marais.

They also witnessed and documented the works of great architectural significance as in the works of Jean Nouvel, Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano and Frank Gehry.
Our students created works in situ and also were deeply influenced and inspired by the exhibitions they saw, to create their own works.
